Storytelling

At the heart of all my work is my passion for storytelling. In 2013 I took part in several courses with Ben Haggarty (Of the Crick Crack Club) and began developing my voice as a performance storyteller.

I have performed stories at various spoken word nights in Manchester, Lancaster Castle, Halloween events and Stoke Reads storytelling events. I adapt folktales that resonate with me and put my take on them.

I've always loved that direct relationship with the audience, something I didn't always get through acting. Seeing the whites of the audiences eyes, tuning into their reactions and adapting my performance to take them on a journey, is an incredible thrill and something I have applied to comedy and facilitating too.
