Access Support for Artists
Alongside my creative practice, I work as an Access Support Worker for artists applying for funding from Arts Council England and other arts organisations. I bring my own experience of securing funding — with a 100% success rate on my own applications — to support artists in putting together their bids with confidence.
My role is to make the process more accessible: I can help you organise your ideas, break down the application into manageable steps, and guide you through the online system. I’m good at listening, clarifying what you want to say, and making sure your own voice comes across clearly. What I enjoy most is supporting artists to feel less overwhelmed by the process so they can focus on the creative vision at the heart of their project.
If you experience or anticipate barriers to accessing ACE funding, you may be eligible for Access Support. This means you can work with a support worker — at no cost to you — to complete your application and navigate the online system.
Barriers to access may include neurodivergence, physical barriers, learning disabilities or differences, or involvement in the mental health system. Note I do not have BSL.
If using the online portal feels inaccessible or overwhelming, I can help you to prepare and submit your application.

Bid Writing
In addition to Access Support, I also offer bid writing support as a separate service. This is open to any artist — whether or not you’re applying through ACE’s Access Support route — who would like help shaping their application.
With my 100% success rate on my own Arts Council applications, I can support you in structuring your bid, refining the language, and making sure the key aims of your project come across clearly. My approach is always collaborative: I work with you to ensure the application reflects your ideas, voice, and creative vision. I can also just offer a feedback service for application drafts. Drop an enquiry if you would like to discuss.
